Occupational Assessments

Whilst regarded by many practitioners as synonymous with Employment Reports, YES can include a number of additional methodologies and features when preparing an Occupational Assessment.

In addition to an in-depth interview to determine the Subject's skills and experience, we favour the use of a well-reputed Careers Guidance software system to analyse the Subject's interests, preferences and transferable skills. Where appropriate, we apply Psychometric Testing. By this means we can have a reliable indicator of the Subject's aptitudes and abilities, typically in areas such as literacy, numeracy and critical reasoning. We can equally test for computer aptitudes, spatial and diagrammatic perception and mechanical/technical appreciation.

Our long and rich experience in recruitment and training allows YES uniquely to use the outputs from this diagnostic methodology to advise on potentially suitable careers and alternative occupations, taking due account of the limitations (of residual injuries) on the individual's capacity.

As a supplementary service, we are ready, willing and very able to provide a Training Action Plan, to identify how the individual can get back into training for new skills and to re-enter the labour market. The Training Action Plan will provide information about the type, source, duration and cost of training, and may be complementary to a Rehabilitation Programme, designed to assist the Subject back into work.
